LACTATION SUPPORT FOR CHICAGO FAMILIES
How We Help
For Chicago families, we offer in-office appointments on Thursdays. Our office is located in Lakeview at Belmont & Paulina, as part of The Village Collective.
Whether you need a single visit to answer a specific question or multiple sessions to work through a feeding challenge, we'll help you navigate lactation care so you feel informed and confident feeding your baby.
Prenatal Feeding Consultation
One-time visit for education and care planning before baby is born
You'll leave with practical, evidence-based education and a personalized plan so you can begin your parenting journey with confidence.
-
Start with a plan—and a relationship.
We’ll meet for a one-hour personalized prenatal feeding consultation to get to know each other and create a thoughtful plan that feels realistic for you, your baby, and your family.
Know what to expect in the early days — including what’s normal, what may need attention, and when to reach out for support
Understand infant feeding cues and behavior — so you can feel more confident responding to baby’s needs.
Understand your unique circumstances — including any factors that may influence feeding or milk production, and what you can do to prepare
Create a feeding plan that fits your family — whether you’re planning to breastfeed, pump, combination feed, or are still figuring out what feels right
Prepare your partner for the journey — so they know how to support you, baby, and your feeding goals from the very beginning
Learn about colostrum and hand expression — including whether prenatal colostrum collection may be appropriate for you
Ask all the questions — from latch and milk supply to pumps, bottles, newborn behavior, and everything in between
You’ll come away from the Consultation with a plan to carry you into the first days with your baby, helping you feel more informed, prepared, and confident about what comes next. -

“Lauren is truly an incredible resource for expecting and new parents! She has a way of making you feel comfortable, supported, and confident—especially during a time when there can be so many questions and uncertainties.
Her knowledge about breastfeeding and newborn care is amazing, but what really stands out is how approachable and encouraging she is. She takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and meet each family where they are without judgment. I would highly recommend Lauren to any expecting or new parent.”
